Josh Randall Chief 1701: Joined the Fire Department as a Junior Fireman in 1996 but was raised at the Fire Department, with his dad and uncle being founding members. He became a firefighter at the age of 18 in 2000, and got his Paramedic in 2003 at Western Carolina University. Josh was the first employee at West Macon in 2004 until 2005 when he became a full time Paramedic with Macon County EMS, as well as a part time EMS Instructor for Southwestern Community College. Josh has served as Lieutenant, Captain, 2nd Asst. Chief, became Chief in Nov. 2010, as well as serves on the Board of Directors.

David Key 1st Asst. Chief 1702: Transferred to West Macon in 1999 after serving 4 years with Clarks Chapel Fire Department. David is a Paramedic with Macon County EMS and as well as Director of Macon County Emergency Management, he is a Emergency Rescue Technician (ERT) as well as a member of the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team. David has served as Captain, 2nd Asst. Chief, became 1st Asst. Chief in Nov. 2010, as well as President of the Board of Directors. He is certified as an ERT-VMR, Haz-Mat Level I Responder.
 Travis Waldroop 2nd Asst. Chief 1703: Joined the Fire Department in 2005, received his Paramedic in June of 2010 with Southwestern Community College and has been employed full time at Macon County EMS since 2007. Travis is a member of the Arson Investigation team, as well as the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team, as well as a part time EMS and Fire Instructor for Southwestern Community College. Travis has served West Macon as Training Officer, Lieutenant, Captain, became 2nd Asst. Chief in Nov. 2010, as well as serves on the Board of Directors. He is certified as a NC FF I & II Firefighter and Haz-Mat Level I Responder.
Billy Lewis Captain 1704: Transferred to West Macon in 2005 after serving as a Junior Fireman at Burningtown Fire and Rescue. Billy attended Tri-County Community College for Welding as a dual enrollment student in High School an currently an employee at Caterpillar as a maintenance worker and also part of the Rapid Response Team at CAT. He received his EMT-Basic through Southwestern Community College in 2008 and has plans to go further with his medical training. Billy has served West Macon as Lieutenant and became Captain in Nov. 2010, as well as serves on the Board of Directors.
 Chad Hand Captain/Training Officer 1705: Joined the Fire Department in 2004, received his EMT-Basic in 2008 with Southwestern Community College and has plans to go further with his medical training. He is our Full Time Employee at West Macon since Sept. 2010 and still serves as a volunteer member, works part time for Jackson County Emergency Management as a 911 Dispatcher since 2009 and part time at Macon County 911 Dispatch since 2011. Chad has served West Macon as Training Officer, Lieutenant, became Captain in Nov. 2010, and Training Officer in 2011,as well as serves on the Board of Directors. He is certified as a NC FF I & II Firefighter and Haz-Mat Level I Responder. Also Web Master for this site.
Adam Huscusson 1st Lieutenant 1706: Joined the Fire Department in 2001 as a Junior Fireman, received his EMT-Basic in 2006 with Southwestern Community College. He also attended Haywood Community College as well as Western Carolina University until 2007 when he became a full time employee with Gwinnett County Fire Department. Adam has served West Macon as Captain and became Lieutenant in Nov. 2010.
Tony Randall 2nd Lieutenant/Junior Advisor 1707: Joined the Fire Department in 1991 left in 2005 and reinstated in 2007. He is a Paramedic and has been employed with Cherokee County EMS since 2006. He has his Rescue Technician Victim Rescue Management (RT-VMR), Technical Rescuer Confined Space (TR-CS), Haz-Mat Level I Responder, as well as a member of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and currently attending Southwestern Community College. Tony became 2nd Lieutenant and our Junior Program Advisor in Nov. 2011. Junior Program Advisor is a Fireman chosen by the Chief to be head over the Junior Firemen and act as a Guidance Counselor.
Alvin (Pickle) Nicholson 1708: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He is Emergency Rescue Technician (ERT), NC Firefighter Level I, II, and III, and Haz-Mat Level I Responder, Pickle is a part time Fire Instructor for Southwestern Community College, as well as a member of the Arson Investigation Team. He is a part time employee at Macon County Emergency Management 911 Addressing Department. Alvin has served West Macon as several years as Training Officer, Captain, 2nd Asst. Chief, 1st Asst. Chief, as well as serves as an alternative on the Board of Directors.
Robert Randall Safety Officer 1709: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He is a Paramedic for Macon County EMS in the Nantahala District since 1994, as well as a NC Firefighter Level I, II, and III, and Haz-Mat Level I Responder and part time EMS Instructor for Southwestern Community College. Robert has Served as Lieutenant, Asst. Chief and served as Chief for 21 years and stepped down in Nov. 2010, became one of our Safety Officers in Nov. 2010, as well as serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors. 
Butch Randall Safety Officer 1710: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He received his EMT-Basic in 2008 through Southwestern Community College, and is currently part time employed with a construction business. He is certified as a Haz-Mat Level I Responder. Butch became Safety Officer in Nov. 2011, and serves on the Board of Directors.
 Bruce Mason 1711: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He was our second full time employee from 2005 til 2010 and had to step out due to a disability but is still an active volunteer, he is a NC Firefighter Level I, II, and III and Haz-Mat Level I Responder. Bruce has served West Macon as 2nd Asst. Chief and 1st Asst. Chief.  
No PictureJohnny Pendergrass Safety Officer 1712: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He is currently Retired, he Retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service. He is certified as a Haz-Mat Level I Responder. Johnny has served West Macon as Safety Officer, Lieutenant, 1st Asst. Chief and was reelected as Safety Officer in Nov. 2010, as well as serves on the Board of Directors.
Seth (Pokey) Roland 1713: Joined the Fire Department in 2003 as a Junior Fireman, he is employed with Mountain Auto Service, Inc. Seth has served West Macon as Lieutenant. He is certified as a Haz-Mat Level I Responder.
No PictureEdwin Nolen 1714: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved. He is retired from several years as an Electrical Contractor. Ed is currently one of our financial members, he also has served West Macon as Safety Officer, as well as serves on the Board of Directors.
Bob (Hammerhead) Litten Traffic Officer 1715: Is one of the founding members of West Macon that is still actively involved as well as the oldest firefighter in Macon County still active at the age of 86. He is Retired from 20 years of service in the United States Navy, and served on Fire Brigade on the Naval Ships, a Retired Electrical Contractor, served several years as an Electrical Instructor for Southwestern Community College, he is also a Boy Scout's Leader, as well as one of the founding members of the VFW Franklin Chapter and helped to make the Veterans Memorial in Franklin successful. Bob has served West Macon as Safety Officer, Traffic Officer and Training Officer and re-elected Traffic Officer in Nov. 2011.
No PictureKenneth Cole 1716: Joined the Fire Department in 1989, left in 2004 and reinstated 2010, He is a NC Firefighter Level I, II, and III and Haz-Mat Level I He is currently employed as a Paramedic for Macon County EMS in the Nantahala District. Kenny has served West Macon as Captain. 
No PictureEllis Severietti 1717: Joined the Fire Department in 1998, after leaving a Fire Department in California. He is currently employed by Project Time & Cost, Inc (PTC Inc) and has been employed there for several years as an Insurance Arson Investigator. Ellis has served West Macon as Safety Officer.
No PictureMike Tallent 1718: Joined the Fire Department in 1986, has recently retired from Macon EMS as a Paramedic. Mike has served West Macon as Lieutenant, Captain.
No PictureChris Allen 1719: Joined the Fire Department in 2006 and was a member until 2009. was previously on Cowee Fire and Rescue and Franklin Fire and Rescue. He was reinstated at West Macon in 2010. Chris is Certified as a Haz-Mat Level I Responder. He is currently employed at Macon County EMS as a Paramedic 
David (Cowboy) Blaine Traffic Officer 1720: Joined the Fire Department in 1991, is an active member of the Arson Team and is certified as a Haz-Mat Level I Responder. David has served West Macon as Traffic Officer for several years and was re-elected as Traffic Officer in Nov. 2011.  
No PicutreBrad Hovis 1721: Joined the Fire Department in 2010, received his EMT-Basic in 2011 through Southwestern Community College and has plans to further his medical training. He currently is a full time student at Southwestern Community College obtaining his General ED.

Merinda Carr 1723: Joined the Fire Department in 2007, is currently a student at Southwestern Community College receiving her General Ed.
Wendy Angel 1724: Joined the Fire Department in 2008, received her EMT-Intermediate in 2009 through Southwestern Community College and has plans to go further with her medical training, she currently works full time for Macon County EMS. Wendy has served West Macon as Training Officer.
Joshua Alberts 1725: Joined the Fire Department in 2009.

Marty Wilson 1728: Joined the Fire Department in 2010, he is self employed owner of, House Doctor. He does construction, home repairs, and Ect.

He received his EMT-Intermediate in 2011 through Southwestern Community College and has plans to further his medical training. Scott has recently become Part Time With Greenville EMS in South Carolina.

He was the 2010 Southwestern Community College Scholarship winner, He plans to attend Southwestern Community College for 2 years taking his General Ed and Medical classes then transferring to Western Carolina University for another 2 years and finish up in Medical and Medical Science. Jacob is currently attending South Western Community college obtaining his EMT-Basic.
